Tuesday, June 17th is the last day to sign up for the Member/Member Classic
2008 Tournament. This will be held all day on Tuesday, June 24th and Wednesday
afternoon, June 25th. Cost is $45pp and includes a patio lunch, range balls,
and prizes. You pay your own green fees. Check payable to TCMGC. This promises
to be a fun event with separate nine hole formats plus a shoot out. And best
of all "Pick Your Own Partner". For further information contact

Rotation this month for the morning players is Tuesday, June 17th. We will
play the Lakes/Pines. Computers will be defaulted to Lakes/Pines blue tees
for ease in posting.
The next General Meeting is Wednesday, July 2nd. Coffee and pastries served.
Angie Dixon from First Tee Junior Golf will bring several junior golfers
to our meeting for a presentation on their program and of the upcoming junior
tournaments at Timber Creek.
Watch out for firecrackers....The club's annual Firecracker Tournament that
is. It will be held on Tuesday, July 15th and will be a 4-ball net format.
Dave Smith and Bob Yarrigle are the co-chairs. Sign up to begin soon.
The next Traveling Tournament will be held at Teal Bend on Monday, July 28th.
Format will be individual stroke play with tee times starting at 9 am. Sign
ups will start on Tuesday, June 24th. The two Dicks will be taking sign ups
before the 7:30 Men's Club days on June 24, July 1, and July 8. They will
also be at the July 2 Club Meeting. Sign up early to ensure a spot.
Another date to put on your calendar is Friday, August 15th. This is the
first and we hope annual, "Sun City Cup" match between 45 players
from Lincoln Hills Men's Golf Club and 45 players from Timber Creek Men's
Golf Club. It will be played this year at our home course with a 7:30AM shotgun
start and will be match play under a modified Ryder Cup format. After golf
we will have lunch on the patio and the results announced. Sign up beginning
July.
Congratulations to the sweeps winners on June 10th. The format was low net
and in 1st place with a net 67 was Jim Knight. 2nd place went to John O'Hern
with a net 68. Bill Whitney came in 3rd with a net 69, and Dale Bird 4th
place with a net 70. Payouts are posted on the bulletin board in the Resident's
Room.
Bill Aaberg, NCGA Tournament Chair reported that the club qualifying for
the 2008 NCGA Senior Four-Ball Net resulted in two teams advancing to the
Sectional Qualifying to be played on August 7th. They are the team of Jim
Knight and Tom McHugh and the team of Ed Lick and Don Yorston. The championship
is to be held September 15th and 16th.
Kudos to Wil Roth for his hole-in-one at Sierra Pines on hole #8.
