The
Players Corner -- Suggestions!
-
We know that people appreciate it when
the trash on the golf course is picked up. In addition to ball marks, sand
traps, and divots, if we could get everyone to act as golf stewards here in
Sun City and not throw things on the course, that would be great. But,
that's not always the case. So, even though you don't leave things on the
course, please pick up papers, cups, napkins, candy wrappers, broken tees,
or anything else that is a nuisance. And, even though it is outside,
smokers may have to include cigarette and cigar butts if they are not
stripped down.
-
Please wait until all golfers in front
have cleared the fairway or green before hitting. (To ensure that the group
in front is out of danger, this may mean waiting until they are in their
golf carts and moving. You alone know your skills and capabilities.)
-
Repair your ball marks on the greens
and replace (or sand) your divots in the fairways.
-
Rake all bunkers after use. ...
including the area reserved for chipping and sand bunker practice.
-
Play "Ready Golf" to keep
the pace of play moving. ( ... see "Pro Shop Etiquette" below.)
-
Allow faster players to play through
if there is an open hole in front of you.
-
Play by the USGA and Local Rules.
-
Stay
out of the "Environmental Areas" as posted.
-
Post the correct score, including the
use of the Equitable Stroke Control system.
