Score Cards

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

  • When must I post my score?

Answer: For every round of golf played of 13 holes or more. If 9 holes are played back to back, then add the scores together and post as an 18 hole score. Scores do not have to be posted for Scramble Tournaments. For best ball tournaments where you pick up, you must take a score for that hole that you most likely would have received if you finished the hole. If a hole is not played at all (Due to maintenance, etc.) you take a score equal to par plus the number of strokes you would receive on that hole.
  • When must I turn in a scorecard?

Answer: For every round at home unless playing in a tournament and the cards are turned into the Tournament Committee.
  • What if I';m just playing with my wife?

Answer: Keep two cards, turn one into the Men's Club box and one into the Ladies box.
  • What is required on the scorecard?

Answer: Full names, date, gross score, handicap and two signatures.
  • What if I have a high score on a hole?

Answer: Lets say you had a 10 on one hole and the maximum you can take under Equitable Stroke Control (ESC) is 7. Before posting draw a line through the 10 and change it to a 7. Adjust your gross score to 3 less than shown.
  • Why do I have to turn in my scorecard?

Answer: The Handicap Committee is now making periodic spot checks and they need to verify your scores do not exceed what you can take under ESC.
If you have any other questions please call a member of the Handicap Committee or attend our monthly meetings at 9:00 AM (from 10:00 AM), first Wednesday of month in the Poker Room.
